How we do it
Dr. Ahmed Farid Mustapha’s office has great experience in dealing with heritage areas and projects associated with it, whether the heritage is cultural, such as festivals and events or physical heritage such as heritage buildings and villages, As well as with regard to other tourism projects such as ecotourism, beach tourism, etc.
Our office has previously cooperated with several parties interested in this field, the most important of which is the Tourism Public Authority.
With regard to the socio-cultural heritage, the office has developed several park sites with festivals activities in multiple locations within the KSA, which were considered the first projects for socio-cultural tourism development.

Architectural documentation of a number of heritage villages – Phase II | 2022-2023
The project aims to study, research and document the heritage architecture of the villages and propose alternatives to return them to their previous state in order to preserve the heritage values of each site through:
– Study and research the historical architectural values of the villages.
– Cadastral and architectural documentation of sites according to the specified scope of work.
– Providing alternatives to the development of buildings and sites.
– Preparing shop drawings and BOQ for the development of villages.
Project of studies for urban heritage buildings in central Riyadh – 2022
The project aims to develop a number of historical palaces in the city of Riyadh. And dealing with the high historical value of these palaces, and preserving the historical identity of the city of Riyadh.
And to enhance the economic sustainability of the outputs of the development process
Work will be done to restore these old palaces of Riyadh while preserving the heritage buildings in these areas (Al-Dhahira and Al-Dahu) in Al-Dirah district.
The scope of work includes:-

Rehabilitation and development studies for the heritage town of Sadus – 2021
The project aims to develop, rehabilitate and preserve the heritage buildings and reuse them in proportion to their historical and archaeological value in the heritage town of Sadus, which is located in the center of Sadus in the Diriyah Governorate, northwest of Riyadh, at an estimated distance of seventy miles. The area of the town is about 5.6 km2, and its population is 1,300. Approximately, the traditional town of Sadus consists of four main neighborhoods that make up the urban structure of the town, as follows:
Al-Bilad neighborhood – The old town, dating back to 1901-1930, with the beginning of the establishment of the third Saudi state.
Jeddah district – The second oldest district
Al-Ras neighborhood – the third district of the town
Masadah Neighborhood – The newest district of the heritage town of Sadus
It also aims to develop and rehabilitate the Bin Muammar Palace located in the town of Al-Uyaynah, which is located in the Diriyah Governorate in the Riyadh region and is located northwest of the capital, Riyadh.
The palace is of great importance from a historical and urban point of view.

The importance of this project is defined as part of the process of heritage preserving value in the area and converting it into a tourist attraction, As well as improving visual and community images of the city entrances and exits and to integrate the region with its surroundings.

The project aims to develop the heritage sites and distinctive historical buildings within selected areas through relying on the local urban and heritage culture, strengthening it and linking it. Among them was the distinctive heritage building in Al-Ahsa oasis, such as Ibrahim Palace, Amiriya School, and El-Ayoun heritage village.

The project of Jabal Quds and Al-Faqara area is considered as one of the first ecotourism projects in Al Medina Region. This is due to its natural heritage and climatic potential and distinctive botanical, and cultural values that deserves protection, which prompted the urban designer to interact in producing urban plans and architectural designs that lines up well with the natural environment of the mountain while reflecting the urban and architectural heritage of Al Medina Region.
The structural and detail plans have been marked with adequate visual and functional character due to the nature of site and the local urban heritage, It has suggested several unique uses for the site, including Planetarium, Astronomical Observatory, and Institute of Astronomy and Environment, in addition to recreational areas, places of residence and camps for youth and families.

Ecotourism, which highlights the maximum utilization of local resources, is one of the goals of Saudi Arabia Vision 2030, which was the idea of developing the parks projects of the villages of Farsan and Al-Atawla.
